No, the title is not a request for a lie-in! I have found over the years that attendance on fieldtrips can be impacted by the start and end times of a trip.
I have had students with caring duties and so if the trip starts or ends too early/late it can make it very difficult (and sometimes impossible) for a student to attend as they may not have wrap around care. It is also a big factor for commuting students - where either the public transport is infrequent or where commuting is >1hr. So, where possible, we try to arrange trips within core hours. Where this is not possible reasonable adjustments can be found.
