Frequently we see advertised on degree programmes that “field work is the best bit of the degree”.
This year we have decided to change the wording of this communication. For some students the fieldwork is not the best bit (or is not going to be the best bit) and we did not want out students feeling excluded if fieldwork was not something that they were excited about or enjoyed. We have started to think more about the wording of how we integrate and advertise fieldwork within our degree programmes.
