Risk assessments often consider the physical side of fieldtrips (for example: uneven terrain/access to water/shelter, etc.).
However, they currently don’t consider things like where a student is going to pray or ethical issues around a field course. Some international fieldtrips can raise other issues depending on the local laws. For example, if you are taking a gay student could they be thrown in jail.
